POLAR DIP 1977

The following group of 22 pictures are a selection from the
Naval Reserve Expedition (Polar Dip 77) to the Arctic in August
of 1977. The purpose of the Expedition was to see if Reserve
Dive Units could work in the north with the support of the Air
Reserve. The focus of this expedition was also to try to locate
articles from the "Franklin Expedition". There was also a film
crew present, they made a documentary that was shown on the CBC.
I never had a chance to see it, although others I know did see
it.
